Delta Galil Industries, a Tel Aviv-based producer and distributor of branded and private label garment items, has announced a new strategic alliance with Sonovia, with revenues of $1.45 billion in 2020.
At Delta Galil's innovation center in Karmiel, Israel, Sonovia and its machinery manufacturing partner Brückner will install an ultrasonic fabric-finishing applicator to pilot the application of new, eco-friendly fabric finishes that offer antimicrobial protection and other long-term benefits to leading global brands.
President of global upper markets for Delta Galil, Gil Shimon, said Ultrasonic technology from Sonovia is the future of high-performance, long-lasting fabric finishing. This relationship lets them take another step toward entirely sustainable and ecologically friendly production, and they're incredibly thrilled to be able to offer their athletic and clothing clients this option for infusing beneficial characteristics into their garments.
Fabric finishing technology from Sonovia enables manufacturers to include long-lasting, built-in features like antibacterial and anti-odor protection, as well as water repellency, into textiles while preserving exceptional fabric performance. The company's solution embeds desired property particles, compounds, and molecules directly into textiles, resulting in a long-lasting, high-value fabric that keeps its attributes even after repeated washings.
Sonovia's collaboration with Delta Galil marks a significant step forward in the company's commercialization efforts.
Chairman and CEO of Sonovia, Shuki Herchcovici, said Delta Galil's strategic partnership is a vote of confidence in Sonovia's eco-friendly, performance fabric-finishing technology from one of the world's top sportswear and clothing manufacturers. He is certain that this agreement will provide exceptional outcomes for both organizations, and he looks forward to a long and fruitful collaboration that will encourage more responsible, sustainable production for a variety of brands.
